Daffodil Day Service
For Daffodil Day, St Mary’s Anglican Church will be colouring their fences with bright daffodils. This is to express to the public passing by that we care and our thoughts and prayers are with you. A special Daffodil Service will be held at 9.00am on Sunday 25 August with Jan Claridge as our guest speaker. There will be an opportunity for people to light a candle, a musical interlude by Kim Ritchie. Morning Tea will be provided following the service. People are invited to come along and add a daffodil to the fence, attend the service and be a part of showing we are a community of people who care for those who have lost loved ones to cancer or are doing it tough. We thank the local schools for providing us with lots of lovely daffodils hand made by their students.

Winter Art Show
The Anglican Parish of Kangaroo Flat is proud to announce the Twelfth Annual Winter Art Show will be held on 26, 27 & 28 July 2019. This event will showcase around 200 works from over fifty artists. Prizes will awarded in four categories, Oil, Acrylic, Watercolour and Other Media, with the winner in each receiving $250. The show will be open from 10.00am to 4.00pm on Fri 26, Sat 27 and Sun 28 July 2019. Admission is $3.00.
The official opening will be held on Friday 26 July from 7.30pm. Tickets for the opening are $10.00 (cash only please).

This year our special guest is Television, Radio and Voice-Over Artist John Deeks. With over 40 years industry experience you may already be familiar with the velvet tones of John Deeks. John is best known as the Voice of Wheel of Fortune and the man that asked excited contestants on the popular game show New Price Is Right to “Come on Down”.
This year’s judge, Patrick Verdon, will announce the four winners at the official opening. Local artist Patrick has been painting for around forty years. Patrick was born in Sligo in Ireland, but he loves painting scenes of the Australian bush. “My whole life is art and painting and a love of the Australian bush. I love the gumtrees and it really is just the greatest place in the world to paint.”
Our raffle this year has three great prizes: First prize is an artwork by Patrick Verdon valued at $300, Second prize is a Victorian Goldfields Railways Family Pass (2 adults & 3 children) valued at $110, Third prize is a $50 Voucher for The Foundry Hotel.
We invite all to come along and enjoy the great display of artwork in our heated facility.
